Capsicum Chicken Curry 


Capsicum Chicken 


Ingredients
  1 Kg Chicken
  2 Onions ( Thinly Sliced )
  2 Capsicums ( Cut into Large Pieces )
  3 Tomatoes ( Cut Into Medium Pieces )
  2 Tbsp Garam Masala Powder
  3 Tbsp Tomato Sauce
  3 Tbsp Oil
  Coriander Leaves
  Salt to Taste


For Marination
 2 Tbsp Red Chili Powder
 3 Tbsp Coriander Powder
 1 Tbsp Pepper Powder
 2 Tbsp Soya Sauce
 2 Tbsp Ginger- Garlic Paste
 1 Tbsp Cumin Powder ( Optional )
 2 Pinches of Turmeric Powder
 2 Tbsp Curd
 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
 1Tbsp Salt

Wash the Chicken and marinate it with all the Marination Ingredients and place it in refrigerator for at least 2 Hrs..


Heat Half of the Oil in a Cooking Vessel and add the sliced onions and saute till it turns transparent..Add the chopped Capsicum and Tomato Pieces and saute for 3-4 mts. Turn off the heat. Remove and keep aside..


In the same vessel add the remaining oil and add the marinated chicken and cook in high flame for 4-5 mts with lid.. And then cook on low flame for 8-10 mts uncovered..make sure it is moist ( its a semi dry dish )


Finally add the Garam Masala Powder and the Tomato Sauce and adjust the salt.. Add the Sauteed Onion , Capsicum & Tomato and cook for 4-5 mts.


Turn Off the heat and garnish with chopped coriander leaves..


Serve hot with rice or Rotis.....
