Raw Mango Vermicelli Upma Recipe






Preparation & Cooking Time - 30 mins


 Ingredients 
     1 1/2 cups Vermicelli roasted in a Tbsp of Ghee till golden brown color.
        3-4 Slit Green chilies
        1 Ginger finely chopped
        3/4 Cup grated Raw Mango
        10-12 Cashew nuts
        1/2 Tbsp Oil
        1/2 Tbsp Ghee
        Salt to Taste

 For Seasoning
     1 Tbsp Mustard Seeds
       1/2 Split black gram
       Curry leaves

Boil 4 cups of water and add the vermicelli,1/2 table spoon salt, little bit of oil. Once Vermicelli is cooked   turn off the heat and pour the vermicelli into a container to drain the water and pour cold water over it and keep it aside.



Heat Ghee/Oil in a cooking vessel and add add the mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add the black gram, cashew nuts and curry leaves and saute till the Dal and nuts turn slightly red.


Add the green chillies and ginger and saute for few seconds.


Add the grated Raw Mango and saute for 4-5 min and add salt to taste


Now add the cooked vermicelli to the Mango mixture and mix it properly so that there no lumps formed.


Serve hot with Chutney or Pickle of your choice.....
